The brief was for a floor that incorporated a map of C.S. Lewis´ inimitable Narnia - but it needed to also be reversible so as to preserve the wonderful parquet flooring beneath. Our DesignSphere system was ideally suited. Laid onto fermacell boards that could be removed in the future, our resin was laid above and below a unique mesh incorporating the image. Furthermore we poured bespoke blue resin over a dynamic step/bench set up that breaks up a corner of the room. Because of the incorporation of the image it is resistant to wear and tear or tarnishing and can handle the daily traffic of an entire school! We were thrilled when it won Best Small Commercial Project of the Year 2014 at the annual FeRFA awards.
